Prerequisite: Entrance is by special application and interview only. Students must demonstrate the desire and motivation to attend a four-year college upon graduation from high school.

Admission to the AVID program requires a 4-year student and parent commitment. The course features college tutors who support student learning through small group tutorials and Socratic Seminars in the AVID Elective class during the school day. (Students may receive A-G elective credit for the AVID Senior Seminar class if they have completed at least 3 of the 4 levels of AVID with a C or better, and enroll in at least 1 Advanced Placement class in both their junior and senior years.)
